You probably don’t expect to find a Beatles museum in Eger but tataa… here it is!
And you know what? It is actually pretty amazing.
It doesn’t matter if you are a hard-core, almost out-of-your-mind Beatles fan or just appreciate their music like we do, this is an awesome tribute to the world’s most successful band ever.
Welcome to Egri Road Beatles museum!
All you need is love - A tour through the history of legends
Start of your Egri Road experience
When entering the red door of the Beatles museum in the center of Eger we are greeted enthusiastically and this made us feel very welcome. Off to a good start!
The owner almost immediately leads us down a staircase and through some sort of cellar while chatting away spontaneously about the time when the members of the Beatles were born.
At the end of the corridor is a big projecting screen where a short movie shows you a glimpse into the lives of the Liverpool boys when they were little.
Take a seat and let the journey begin.
Dive into the Beatles mania
Ground level
Once upstairs again, you get some more information about the lay out of the museum like where to start your trip down memory lane and all the little extra’s you see along the way.
There is so much to see and also do here! Yes, this is an interactive museum, with screens and head-sets. What would a museum about the Beatles be without music, right?
So, you just follow the time-line that is set out on big boards full with information and numbered pictures to illustrate what is written down. It looks professional and through the detailed facts you little by little get sucked into the former Beatles mania.
Along your route through the museum there are multiple video screens where you get more scoops about their music and you can listen to some of their songs through a headphone.
You even get the chance to measure your guitar hero skills as there is a separate space for that too.
First floor
On the first floor they created a room that looks like a yellow submarine. This proves again the thought and dedication they put in creating this museum.
On top of all this the Beatles museum is filled with memorabilia and curiosities about their road to success. The collection holds news articles, live records, interviews, short films, letters, pins, magazines, photos and a lot more. You just don’t know where to look first!

An interview
Interviewer: “How do you sleep with long hair?
Paul McCartney: How do you sleep with short hair?
George Harrison: How do you sleep with your arms and legs still attached?
Paul: It’s just as much bother. Less, even.
John Lennon: Short hair has to be trimmed.
Ringo Starr: Yeah.
John: That’s why we have parties!
Paul: Yeah, that must be it! We can’t sleep with all this long hair!”
