Croatia - Europe - Only Once Today

The Republic of Croatia is located in Eastern Europe. It has a very long coastline, called the Dalmatian coast, which follows the Adriatic sea and offers some amazing sunsets. The Croatian coastline or Dalmatian coast is speckled with hundreds of little islands. Some of these Dalmatian islands are protected natural areas. The Croatian language is a mystery to us and we don't understand a single word of it. Luckily, many Croatians speak English quite well. The most visited destinations in Croatia are the Plitvice Lakes, the beach town of Split, Dubrovnik, and Krka. We visited Zadar for a few days.

Croatia is a relatively small country. In size, it's number 127 in the world. The highway and train system are well maintained and easy to use. The Croatian government made an effort to make the country easy to visit and accessible for every type of tourist. Croatia is frequently visited by tourists and as a traveler, you should be aware of these common travel scams that could happen to you.

Croatia might not yet be the most LGBT-friendly destination in the world, it’s still very safe to visit. Check our LGBT laws and travel page to find more information for LGBT travel to Croatia.
