We already know that pride is big in the USA and Europe. But why not visit pride Australia or New Zealand?
LGBT and Pride events in Australia are not taking place in some sort of Pride month Australia. On the contrary, the events are spread over several months, all of which are during Australian summer.
The largest countries of Oceania: Australia and New Zealand are super LGBTQ+ friendly and especially large cities, like Sydney and Auckland, have a blooming LGBT scene.
When visiting lesbian and gay pride events in Australia and New Zealand, you can expect a warm and colourful welcome and a festive athmosphere!
Lesbian and gay pride in Australia is often called Mardi Gras (not to be confused with other events elsewhere in the world). Mardi Gras Australia usually refers to the LGBTQ+ pride event in Sydney, but visitors sometimes refer to the other pride events as Mardi Gras as well!

Conclusion - LGBTQ+ Pride Australia and New Zealand
As you can see, there is more than 1 pride month in Australia and New Zealand. So if you want to visit them all, you’ll have to take one long vacation down under!
Some of the events we listed are actual LGBTQ+ festivals for the community that last for days, weeks, or even months!
And some are more popular than others!
But there is something for everyone and most areas of the Australia have been covered. In New Zealand, cities are a little closer together.
Queer festivals like Mardi Grass Sydney and Midsumma Festival in Melbourne attract visitors from all over the world and there’s no reason you shouldn’t be there as well!
This might be interesting too!
