Have you ever tried to find a lesbian bar in a holiday or weekend destination? If you ever Googled a city and searched for a place to go to, a lesbian bar or cafe, a place where you can be yourself and hold the hand of your love without hesitation, you’ll know how difficult it is to find nice places. There is a lack of these safe havens for women. Every medium-sized town has at least a dozen of gay bars, but that isn’t where we want to go. We want to be among women and have a good time. To help you ladies out, we compiled another list of cool destinations for women. These lesbian Europe winter destinations have events for this winter and spring or maybe even year round! Palma – Mallorca
Mallorca sets the scene for another fantastic Lesbian Festival this winter! New years eve in Mallorca sounds like fun? Then this event might be perfect for you! ELLA is a successful and popular lesbian event formula. After the big success of the summer festivals in Mallorca, now ELLA also organizes winter festivals on the sunny island in the Mediterranean sea. What can be better than spending new year with like-minded people in a terrific setting? Tickets tend to sell out soon, so if you plan on starting the new year with a bang on a hot and sunny island, check the website to get your tickets and enjoy a great lesbian Europe winter festival.

Davos – Switzerland – Lesbian Europe Winter Destination
For the first time, the popular Ella festival is organizing a winter festival filled with snow-capped mountains, ski-fun, and wellness. The location of this event is a cute town in the Swiss Alps. No matter if you want to ski or not, ELLA will keep you entertained with dinners, evening events, and other mountain activities. This four-day event is bound to be successful, as the other ELLA events tend to sell out really quick. Weissenhauser – Germany
One of the first spring festivals of the new year is held in Germany. Weissenhauser beach is the setting of of the the largest lesbian festivals in Europe. L-beach Reloaded is a combination of comedy, music, and fun! The festival attracts lesbian visitors from all over Europe and beyond. The beach setting at the Baltic Sea has proven to be an amazing spot where the magic happens. For the past eight years, L-beach has grown and expanded.

Lisbon – Portugal
Lisbon Portugal is known for its mild climate year round. That’s why it’s a great destination to escape the winter cold! We didn’t find any festivals for lesbians, but Lisbon is very LGBT and lesbian-friendly. There are quite a few lesbian bars and parties, so you’re very likely to find a great place to go to when in Lisbon. The Bairro Alto is the most famous lesbian and gay area in the city. Located on top of one of the seven hills of Lisbon, Bairro Alto literally means ‘high neighborhood’. Lesboa Party is a famous lesbian event that is organized in Lisbon. This year, the party is held on December 2nd. The perfect date for a Lisbon city trip?
Vienna – Austria
Vienna is a romantic and beautiful winter destination in Europe. As an extra, there are also lesbian parties organized by Pinked. The venue of choice is G-Spot bar. The 1st of December, they have a big party planned. Vienna has more to offer for lesbians and the city is home to a few lesbian bars as well. The women’s café Frauencafé is a lesbian bar that has been around since 1977 and it still is today.
Prague – Czech Republic
The capital of Czech is alive and kicking. Today more than ever, lesbians can easily find an interesting bar or café to have a few drinks among like-minded people. Every Friday and Saturday Jampa Dampa bar is for women only and you can attend the Ladies Secret Night Parties. The bar looks cool and it’s definitely worth a visit when you visit Prague. Freedom Night, another event for queer women is regularly held in Prague, Brno, and Bratislava. Keep an eye on their Facebook page to see upcoming events. We will definitely be keeping an eye on Prague for our future travels!
