The harbor city of Newcastle in New South Wales hosts one of the early festivals of pride season in Australia.
In the week from August 17 until August 26, tons of free events can be attended in Newcastle, like queer sports games, art exhibitions, cabaret, dance and drag nights, and much more.
The highlight of the Newcastle Pride festival happens on August 24 with the Fair Day, a free event for of cool and fun activities and performances.
